2018 Travel Baseball
Baseball will again play within the Eastern States Baseball League (ESBL). Player age for Baseball is determined by the player’s age as of May 1, 2018. We are fielding teams at 8U (age 8 & under), 9U (age 9 & under), and 10U (age 10 & under). Games will be on Fridays and/or Sundays beginning in mid-April and ending in late June (10-14 games total). Some days may consist of doubleheaders. In addition, each team will practice one to two times per week on top of the games. We will have some home games, as well as away games within the local area at locations such as Niskayuna, Guilderland, North Colonie, etc. We will know exact game dates when schedules are released by ESBL.
Open Travel Baseball tryouts are scheduled for:
• Tuesday, March 6th and Tuesday March 13th
• Veeder Elementary School, 25 Veeder Dr, Colonie
• 5:30pm – 6:30pm – 8U (age 8 and under)*
• 6:30pm – 7:30pm – 9U (age 9 and under)*
• 7:30pm – 8:30pm – 10U (age 10 and under)*
*Additional date(s) may be necessary depending on attendance.
** If you can not attend, please email us prior to March 6th and we will set something up.
REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY
The Raiders Travel registration fee this year for each player is $130. It goes directly towards players’ uniforms, umpire fees, ESBL league fees, tournament fees, insurance, and field maintenance.
*** PLEASE NOTE: In order to participate in tryouts for and play on any Raiders Travel team, each player must register for and play in at least 50% of South Colonie Youth Baseball recreation games this upcoming Spring 2018 recreation season.
